Thoughts to Ponder

There is the knowledge that we have that we need to be reminded of.

There are things that we have learned that need to be unlearned.

There are things that we need to discard and others that we need to add.

Spend time each day thinking of what those things are.

There is the knowledge that we have that we need to be reminded of.

How often are we sitting listening to someone speaking, and we think we are hearing something for the first time and then realize we have listened to it so many times before? We all do. The thing about that is when we heard it the other times, it didn’t stick. It might not have been that relevant to where you were in your life. Now it is. Now it is something that you might take action on. That is when it will stick. Knowledge is just knowledge. Until you use that knowledge and take action, you are bound to forget it until the time when you are reminded of it. Then just maybe, it will stick.

There are things that we have learned that need to be unlearned.

The things that we learn are not all created equal. There is a quote by Mark Twain “Education consists mainly of what we have unlearned.” Our education begins once we are out of school. There are so many things we hold tight that we need to let go of. Things that well-intended people fed us are of no use to us in the world we live in. Real education starts when you start living! When you start failing and falling and getting back up. Those are thlessons that need to be learned and not forgotten.

There are things that we need to discard and others that we need to add.

There are so many things mentally and physically that we hold onto for fear of losing. Items that have been lying idle for so long. Once you remember you have them, they bring back memories that you can’t let go of. We need to make space for the relevant and essential things in our lives. It would help if you lightened up the load. Get rid of the clutter so that you can make room for the things that matter most! Sometimes we like to hold on to the things that matter the least because it is easier. Stop taking the easy way out. You will be grateful that you did.

Spend time each day thinking of what those things are.
