a little bit about me...

Joshua Gold, a native of Brooklyn, NY, graduated from Pace University with a BA in Public Accounting. That degree, a love of business and a thirst to achieve and to assist have propelled him through a very diverse and successful professional career that included a 15-year partnership with his Dad, Max, in their own successful New York accounting practice. Those invaluable experiences enabled him to better understand what consistently drove business and personal success and helped him better identify what would become his true calling.

Joshua is anything but your prototypical accountant-type. Josh was heavily involved in the music business beginning in his early twenties. Although he never achieved the individual rock stardom he dreamed of, he did become a respected and successful tour manager, working with and traveling around the globe with a variety of legendary acts including The Who and Johnny Winter.

An ardent triathlete with a relentless desire to continuously pursue a new personal best, Joshua launched PushHard Multisport, the first Triathlon Coaching/Training Center in 1999 to help others maximize their potential. There, he helped individuals from all walks of life achieve their overall goals through endurance sports training and success. He was often asked to mentor a number of those athletes through the business and personal issues that arose. He still, to this day, has a number of triathlete clients who depend upon his vast expertise and unrelenting encouragement.

Upon moving to Mount Pleasant SC in 2014, Joshua joined Keller Williams as an agent to learn about the real estate business and the specific needs of the entrepreneurs involved in that field. His lifelong love of architecture and design also helped fuel that decision. But for Joshua, coaching has been and still remains his true passion. Armed with that awareness and the belief that no one’s proverbial toolbox is ever complete, Joshua decided to focus on building his professional coaching business and acquiring the additional certifications he believed most necessary for his services to be of optimum value.

Joshua recently became an Executive Director with the John Maxwell Team. (John Maxwell was named the #1 leadership expert in the world by INC. magazine in 2014.) The John Maxwell Team empowers coaches, trainers, and speakers to add value to others, helping them to become more successful business and community leaders, through proven programs for personal growth and development.

As you might expect from this self-motivated coach and entrepreneur, his training does not end there. He also earned Certification in C-IQ Conversational Intelligence. That training and certification is uniquely designed to help key business professionals influence the workplace culture and the quality of the conversations that take place in an organization – bringing the organization to the next level.

It is clear that Joshua has managed and/or coached people on some level his entire life. He has a proud history of helping others identify and achieve their goals, regardless of the exact role he has played.
